Prospective Students Invited to SUNY Plattsburgh Spring 2026 Open House

SUNY Plattsburgh’s Office of Admissions is planning its annual Spring Open House for Saturday, April 25 when prospective students and their families can tour campus, meet with students, faculty, and find out about the university’s 60-plus programs and more.

The day begins with check-in at 9 a.m. in Memorial Hall’s rec gym on the second floor where guests can mingle until the doors open to the main gym above on the third floor at 10 a.m. for the Student Clubs and Organizations Fair.

At 11 a.m., prospective students and their families can cross Rugar Street to the Angell College Center ballrooms for welcome remarks by University President Alexander Enyedi and Vice President for Enrollment and Student Success Karen McGrath.

One of the mainstays of Open House, the academic break-out session with faculty and staff, begin at 11:30 a.m. Students will depart the Warren Ballrooms to learn about programs and majors offered at SUNY Plattsburgh. Faculty from a variety of disciplines in the School of Education, Health and Human Services, the School of Business and Economics, and the School of Arts and Sciences will share their insights into their areas of expertise.

open house file photo tourWalking tours of campus will be offered beginning at 11:30 a.m. on a rotating basis. Tours last about an hour with the last tour leaving at 2 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to visit classrooms, dining facilities, a residence hall and more.

Students and their families will also have the chance to meet one on one with admissions, academic advising and financial aid professionals for personalized guidance. Here, staff from the various departments will answer questions and offer help in the application and financial aid processes.

Appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis.
