Social Justice Teach-In
Save the Date — Monday, November 2, 2026
We welcome all SUNY Plattsburgh faculty, staff and students within our campus community to save the date for the fourth annual Black Solidarity Day Social Justice Teach-In, held on the first Monday of November.
Please plan to join us for Black Solidarity Day, Monday, November 2, 2026. In recognition of Black Solidarity Day, our campus will host a Social Justice Teach-In, featuring programming for the Plattsburgh community and beyond. This is a day designed for experts, advocates, students and community members to gather, meditate on and discuss the meaning of justice and civic engagement, including the importance of social and racial equity.
We invite and welcome all SUNY Plattsburgh faculty, staff, students and community members to attend and/or contribute a teach-in session that speaks directly to the meaning of Black Solidarity Day and/or that engages with social justice, broadly defined.
2026 Schedule of Events
The day will commence with a welcome event and will feature a series of concurrent presentations and events, led by students, staff, faculty and community groups, held all over campus. A full schedule and event theme for 2026 will be revealed in the coming weeks.
